A message from SDS Chairman Laura Barkman
Warmest greetings from the SDS board. We first of all want to thank everyone for helping out at the 2005 Health Expo this weekend. Without the support and help from all the members it would not have been possible to achieve the sucess that we did. We apreciate Kensen Saito for letting us use his chairs and Sandy Antunez for lending us the shiatsu table. We want to give a special thanks to Joseph Poon for being there to take down everything at the end and make sure that everything was put in proper order. Not only did the members help out on rotating schedules but we had students from the Shiatsu Academy of Tokyo volunteer at the booth throughout the weekend which we appreciate a lot. More then 150 people from the public recieved 10 - 20 min. shiatsu treatments. Plus hundreds of flyers and business cards where distributed. We are looking forward to many more sucessful events. We also want to let everyone know that the meeting scheduled for the 17th of April 1:00 p.m. has been postponed until the 24th. of April 1:00 p.m. We are getting everything together to present a workshop on the relationship currently between the Insurance companies and our patients. Entrance into the meeting will be free for all the SDS members. Non SDS members are more than welcome to join since it is going to be a packed filled afternoon with a lot of information. The price for them will be ten dollars each. So please confirm your attendance as soon as possible and don't be shy to spread the word.
Sincerely, Laura Barkman
